Key Duties

• Perform cleaning tasks including high and low dusting, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing of surfaces.
• Sanitize wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected zones, and public areas.
• Manage waste by ensuring bins are emptied when full and maintained appropriately.
• Uphold rigorous hospital cleanliness standards, ensuring areas are safe, presentable, and comply with policies.
• Operate cleaning equipment responsibly following all relevant Health & Safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare personnel with an emphasis on patient care.
• Work effectively under pressure, both independently and collaboratively, adapting flexibly to the needs of the hospital.
• Maintain confidence and composure in a hospital setting, including interactions with unwell or distressed patients.
• Demonstrate pride in work and a proactive approach to learning and going beyond expectations, regardless of previous experience.
• Position subject to Disclosure & Barring Service check, with costs covered by employer.
