Role Overview

We are looking for a Domain Expert to join our Practice product group's Domain Experts team. This team focuses on developing online content designed for accounting practices managing compilation engagements for their clients. This includes workpaper and financial reporting tools, along with tax return preparation and submission functionalities.

The Domain Expert serves as a vital connection among accounting industry practices, development teams, business units, and product management. This role leads the translation of tax and accounting standards into product content. Candidates must have a comprehensive knowledge of accountants’ workflows, including their pain points and improvement opportunities, to ensure high-quality product outcomes. The role entails collaborating directly with regulatory authorities such as the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) or the Inland Revenue Department (IRD), along with industry leaders, to gather and apply compliance mandates.

A prime responsibility is to actively develop content, leveraging accounting and tax expertise combined with technical capabilities. Utilizing AI-assisted development tools, the Domain Expert creates online content aligned with regulatory compliance and enhances user experience.

Key Skills and Experience

• Between two to five or more years of experience as a bookkeeper or accountant.
• Proven commercial acumen and business insight.
• Familiarity with software development cycles or working alongside development teams is advantageous though not mandatory.
• Experience in building financial or accounting software solutions.
• Demonstrated problem-solving aptitude, especially applying technical fixes to business challenges.
• Strong organizational capabilities combined with effective facilitation and workshop skills.
