Role Summary

We are looking for a Domain Expert to join our Practice product group’s Domain Experts team. This team focuses on developing online content tailored for accounting practices managing compilation engagements for clients. This includes tools enhancing workpaper preparation, financial reporting, and tax return lodging processes.

The Domain Expert will function as a critical link between accounting professionals, software development teams, product management, and the business. You will lead the translation of accounting and tax regulations into product content while deeply understanding accountant workflows, challenges, and improvement opportunities. Collaboration with regulatory agencies such as the ATO or IRD and key industry stakeholders will be essential to gather and implement compliance updates.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality online content by integrating accounting and tax knowledge with technical capabilities.
• Utilize AI-powered development tools to create compliant and user-friendly solutions.
• Act as the primary interface between accountants, developers, and management teams, ensuring content aligns with regulatory demands and workflow needs.
• Engage with regulatory bodies and industry leaders to capture evolving compliance requirements.
• Support product delivery with insights from accounting practices and industry trends.

Required Skills and Experience

• Two to five-plus years experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
• Proven commercial and business acumen.
• Experience in developing financial or accounting software solutions is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycles or working alongside development teams is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply technical solutions to business challenges.
• Excellent facilitation, workshop leadership, and organizational abilities.
