Dog Groomer

About the Role

We are inviting applications for multiple Dog Groomer positions across the Macarthur Region including Campbelltown, Gregory Hills, and Mount Annan. Join a dedicated team inspired by animals to grow personally and professionally while positively impacting pets, people, and the planet.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive grooming services for diverse dog breeds, including bathing, drying, nail clipping, brushing, combing, and both general and breed-specific clipping styles.
• Deliver a positive and memorable grooming experience for all customers and their pets.
• Coordinate grooming salon operations and client scheduling alongside the Store Manager.
• Manage client bookings efficiently.
• Support the in-store team when required by providing exceptional customer service to ensure meaningful customer interactions.
• Maintain high salon presentation standards and manage salon stock effectively.
• Assist the Store Manager and team in consistently meeting member program targets and overall expectations.
• Proactively engage with local marketing efforts and recruitment referral programs.
• Strive to meet and exceed sales objectives as part of the team.
• Uphold a strong safety culture with commitment to creating a safe environment for all team members.

Qualifications and Experience

• Professional experience in dog grooming is required.
• A formal qualification in grooming is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to instill and maintain safety protocols throughout the salon and store environment.
• Strong knowledge of breed-specific grooming styles and brand/product information.
• Physically capable of lifting heavier animals as needed.
• Proven experience in handling live animals with care and professionalism.
• Advanced understanding of zoonotic and dermatological conditions in animals and how to recognize them.
• Track record of exceeding grooming KPIs through superior care, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and colleagues.
• High attention to detail in grooming and operational duties.
