Key Responsibilities

• Clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashers or by hand.
• Comply with health and safety standards by ensuring that all items are sanitized thoroughly.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing area including floors, walls, and countertops, as well as emptying trash regularly.
• Manage dishwashing equipment properly, reporting any malfunctions or need for maintenance to the Kitchen Manager.
• Restock cleaning supplies such as detergents, sanitizers, and towels when necessary.
• Organize and sort clean utensils and equipment efficiently for kitchen use.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing items appropriately.
• Demonstrate willingness to cross-train in different restaurant roles to support growth and team success.
• Perform any additional duties assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Physical dexterity to operate dishwashing machines, handle kitchen equipment carefully, and maintain attention to detail.
• Knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with measurement systems.
• Demonstrated reliability and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to bend and reach overhead frequently.
• Capability to stand for prolonged periods and lift items up to 50 pounds.
