Job Summary

This full-time Dishwasher position focuses on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, kitchen equipment, and work areas to ensure a safe and orderly environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food debris from dishes, washing them manually or using the dishwashing machine to achieve complete sanitation.
• Clean pots, pans, and trays thoroughly following procedural guidelines to maintain hygiene.
• Polish silverware employing equipment such as burnishing machines, chemical dips, and buffing tools as required.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and maintain proper chemical and temperature levels according to standards.
• Keep the dishwashing area neat and compliant with safety and sanitation regulations.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors ensuring cleanliness and safety.
• Sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces regularly.
• Manage waste by disposing of trash into appropriate containers and cleaning garbage bins via steaming or hosing.
• Assist with moving supplies and equipment between storage and work stations.
• Support loading and unloading of supplies and products as needed.
• Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Schedule & Location

Location: Thornton Academy, 438 Main Street, Saco, ME 04072.
Schedule: Full time with varied days off; typically 10:30 am to 7:00 pm with two days off weekly. Specific schedule details will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

• No prior experience required; candidates must be willing to undergo training.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage ranges from $17.00 to $17.50.
