Job description
Overview
Flik Hospitality Group is seeking to fill a full-time Dishwasher role located at The Madison Club, 590 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10022. The position requires candidates to be available Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. This role offers an hourly wage ranging from $20 to $22 and includes benefits such as free meals, uniforms, and laundering services at selected locations.
Role Summary
The primary objective is to ensure that all dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen equipment, work areas, and utensils are maintained in a clean and sanitary state following stringent procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove food residue from dishes and wash them by hand or using dishwashing machinery, ensuring thorough cleaning and sanitation.
- Clean pots, pans, and trays according to established protocols to maintain hygiene standards.
- Polish silverware utilizing equipment like burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing wheels, or by hand, ensuring spotless results.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols at all times.
- Monitor and maintain proper temperature and chemical levels as required.
- Keep the dishwashing area organized and compliant with safety and sanitation regulations.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors to meet hygiene and safety guidelines.
- Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces routinely.
- Collect and dispose of trash correctly, including steam cleaning or washing garbage cans.
- Assist in transferring supplies and equipment between storage and working areas as needed.
- Help with loading and unloading of supplies and products.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in food service is preferred but not mandatory.
- A valid driver's license is required.
