Job Overview

The Dishwasher or Utility Person at Gator’s Dockside plays a key role in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization in the dishwashing and refuse areas. This position operates under management supervision and follows all organizational policies and training protocols. The dishwasher collaborates courteously with management and staff to uphold excellent guest experiences.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Thorough cleaning and sanitization of food service materials such as plates, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, prep equipment, and more using a three-sink station and/or mechanical dishwashing machines.
• Promptly reporting any malfunctioning equipment, unsafe or unsanitary conditions, or concerns about restaurant tools and facilities to management including Kitchen Manager and General Manager.
• Completing assigned cleaning and organizing projects efficiently, adhering to management's standards and business requirements.
• Assisting as a prep cook during slower periods by performing food preparation tasks aligned with corporate guidelines and maintaining required food safety certification.
• Contributing to the upkeep of common restaurant areas such as restrooms, dining and kitchen floors, walls, shelves, sidewalks, windows, doors, game machines, beverage stations, carpeting, tables, chairs, and cabinets as directed by management.
• Maintaining high personal hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times.

Employees must familiarize themselves and comply with policies in the employee handbook and training materials. Dishwashers act as key contributors to the overall cleanliness and safety environment within the restaurant, supporting other hourly employees and ensuring a quality dining atmosphere.
