Role Overview

The Food Runner at Gator’s Dockside plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely preparation, presentation, and delivery of meals while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. This role is pivotal to providing guests with an excellent dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, garnish, plate, organize, and deliver food items according to established standards.
• Maintain a current food safety certification to guarantee compliance with health regulations.
• Keep the kitchen’s common areas clean, including trash cans, sinks, floors, walls, shelves, refrigerators, coolers, and beverage machines such as ice and soda machines.
• Follow plating and presentation guidelines specified by trainers and corporate policies.
• Communicate respectfully and supportively with management and fellow staff to execute tasks efficiently.
• Assist with additional kitchen duties as needed, such as washing dishes, portioning food, prepping items, and executing cleaning projects both inside and outside the kitchen.
• Support servers by delivering drinks, supplemental items, seating and bussing tables as required.
• Ensure knowledge and execution of opening and closing procedures for assigned workstations, with focus on detail and promptness.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests or concerns and escalate issues to management as needed.
• Participate in maintaining the cleanliness of all restaurant common areas, including restrooms, dining room floors, walls, shelves, sidewalks, windows, games, drink stations, carpets, tables, chairs, and cabinets.
• Maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness consistent with the restaurant's standards.
