Job description
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Director of Technology to join a dynamic, technology-driven company with operations across multiple European digital markets. Reporting directly to the CEO, this pivotal role involves shaping and executing the technology vision, managing architecture, and defining how technology supports business growth and resilience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company-wide technology strategy and comprehensive roadmap.
- Oversee the complete technology architecture ensuring it is scalable, secure, and reliable.
- Serve as the main technology consultant to the CEO and top executive team.
- Assess the current technology environment to spot areas for improvement and optimization.
- Supervise and evaluate relationships with external technology vendors, partners, and service providers.
- Lead governance of suppliers, review contracts, manage service performance, and coordinate technology procurement.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of outsourced technology operations and propose future operating models.
- Manage technology budgets including investment prioritization and vendor expenses.
- Provide strategic direction on the company’s Dynamics 365 CE system and overall business technologies.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership experience at Director of Technology, CTO, Head of Technology, or equivalent senior technical role.
- Strong expertise in technology strategy development, architectural design, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Substantial experience managing external vendors and outsourced delivery teams.
- Track record of overseeing technology budgets, contracts, and making investment decisions.
- Exceptional commercial insight to negotiate with suppliers and ensure value.
- Experience thriving in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, or rapidly scaling companies.
- Ability to communicate complex technology concepts clearly to executive teams and non-technical audiences.
- Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure, modern digital platforms, and enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 CE or related CRM platforms is preferred.
- A pragmatic, hands-on leadership approach suitable for lean organizational environments.
