Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized support for daily living tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, personal hygiene, and transportation
- Encourage participation in social and community activities like shopping and events
- Assist individuals in accomplishing personal objectives and recognize their achievements
- Promote autonomy, choice, and self-advocacy
- Maintain accurate documentation of care, activities, and client progress
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent and high-quality support
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
- Pass mandatory background checks and complete required training
- Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with valid insurance (primary or secondary)
- Able to work safely and respectfully within clients' homes and community settings
- Demonstrate compassion, dependability, and a commitment to making a positive difference
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism, including familiarity with Individual Activity Support Plans and Plans of Service and Supports
- Knowledge of basic behavior-support techniques such as redirection, visual prompts, and environmental adaptations
