Direct Entry First Officers (Contract)

Position Overview

Singapore Airlines is seeking skilled pilots for Direct Entry First Officer positions on a fixed-term contract basis. Successful applicants will be assigned to operate either the Airbus A350 or Airbus A380 aircraft within the fleet.

Requirements

• Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate recognized or verifiable by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).
• A valid Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) with Airbus A350 or Airbus A380 type rating, recognized or verifiable by CAAS, is mandatory. Foreign license holders should verify eligibility accordingly.
• A preferred minimum of 3,000 flight hours as a First Officer; however, candidates with at least 1,500 hours will also be considered.
• Applicants need a minimum of 1,500 hours specifically on the Airbus A350 and/or A380 aircraft.
• At least two years of flying experience on either the A350 or A380 as a First Officer before application.
• Proficiency in English communication for inflight radio-telephony at ICAO English Level 5 or above is required.
• Minimum height of 1.58 meters to safely operate all controls in the flight deck.

Selection Process

Candidates will participate in multiple evaluative stages, including but not limited to interviews, simulator assessments, and medical examinations. Placement will be made on either the A350 or A380 fleet depending on successful completion.

Training and Contract Terms

Selected candidates will undergo appropriate training programs and will be offered fixed-term contracts up to 12 months duration.
