Overview
Singapore Airlines is inviting applications for the role of Ab Initio Cadet Pilot based in Singapore. This position offers a structured pathway to receive professional pilot qualifications through rigorous training conducted at the Singapore Flying College and overseas locations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational background of GCE 'A' Level, Diploma, or Degree is required; alternatively, candidates must have secured at least 5 GCE 'O' Level credits including English, Mathematics, and a Science subject in a single examination attempt.
- Visual standards include myopia no greater than 800 degrees and astigmatism no more than 300 degrees, both fully correctable with glasses or contact lenses.
- Candidates must be at least 1.58 meters tall to safely perform onboard safety and emergency tasks.
Training and Career Progression
Successful applicants will undergo comprehensive pilot training designed to achieve professional certification. This training is conducted locally in Singapore and at overseas facilities. After completing the academic and flight training phases, candidates will proceed with additional instruction to qualify as First Officers.
Compensation and Benefits
During the training period, a monthly allowance will be granted to support candidates financially. Upon successful appointment as a First Officer, competitive salary packages, including allowances and other benefits, will be provided.
Service Commitment
Candidates selected must commit to serving the airline for the entire duration of training plus an additional seven years working as a First Officer to fulfill the service bond.
