About Analog Devices

Analog Devices, Inc. is a global semiconductor frontrunner combining analog, digital, AI, and software technologies to foster innovations at the Intelligent Edge. The company supports sectors including climate action, automation, robotics, healthcare, and data centers with a revenue exceeding $11 billion in FY25.

Position Overview

This position seeks a seasoned Verification Lead to oversee verification activities for advanced Optical Controller Integrated Circuits (ICs) aimed at AI datacenter and cloud infrastructure markets. The role involves directing verification strategies, execution, and delivery across multiple levels, leading a verification engineering team, and collaborating with varied technical groups to ensure first-pass silicon success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive verification strategies spanning architecture to post-silicon validation for optical controller ICs.
  • Lead verification planning, defining the scope, coverage approaches, assertion plans, and criteria for sign-off.
  • Promote methodologies driven by verification coverage to assure completeness and superior quality.
  • Make pivotal technical and quality-focused verification decisions.
  • Handle execution of verification deliverables, including schedule management, milestone oversight, and risk handling.
  • Interface with project management to synchronize verification tasks with broader project timelines.
  • Identify and address integration and system-level risks early in the process.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality verification completion to support tape-out milestones.
  • Mentor and lead a verification team, optimizing resource allocation and fostering professional growth.
  • Cultivate a team culture emphasizing accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Architect and review verification environments using C/UVM at block and chip levels.
  • Assist in debugging and root cause analyses of functional and integration issues.
  • Support post-silicon validation efforts working alongside system, firmware, and application teams.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or relevant disciplines.
  • At least 8 years of experience in digital verification for complex SoCs, with leadership in large subsystem or full-chip verification.
  • Expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM, including environment design, sequences, assertions, scoreboards, and coverage techniques.
  • Strong background in functional and code coverage metrics and verification sign-off processes.
  • Proven leadership managing verification projects and teams, overseeing schedules and cross-functional coordination.
  • Knowledge of AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB) and SoC verification involving processors.
  • Preferred experience with mixed-signal verification and collaborations with analog teams.
  • Advantageous familiarity with AI-assisted design productivity tools.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as C/C++ and scripting languages like Python, Perl, Tcl, or shell scripts.
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities to influence multidisciplinary teams.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and efficient in fast-paced AI datacenter product environments.
