Job description

Role Summary

Lead the establishment and supervision of Saudi Air Navigation Services' (SANS) enterprise architecture strategies, roadmaps, and standards, ensuring IT capabilities are synergized with business transformation goals. This role guarantees that solution designs, technology integrations, and IT investments are cohesive, scalable, and sustainable, effectively supporting the organization’s enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain an enterprise architecture vision, aligning IT capabilities with overarching business strategies.
  • Champion innovation, scalability, and sustainability within digital transformation through architecture functions.
  • Implement and advocate for architecture standards, reference models, and patterns spanning technology, applications, integration, infrastructure, and data domains.
  • Ensure that projects and solutions adhere strictly to the enterprise architecture principles, overseeing design and implementation phases.
  • Collaborate with governance teams to maintain compliance with architectural guidelines.
  • Guide project teams in solution design, ensuring alignment with enterprise roadmaps and architectural standards.
  • Review and approve architectural solutions prioritizing integration, security, and operational resilience.
  • Serve as the escalation point for architecture-related decisions and conflicts.
  • Align technology roadmaps with business objectives fostering digital enablement and innovation.
  • Facilitate collaboration to realize architectural outcomes that deliver tangible business value.
  • Provide periodic reports to the Digital Transformation Manager about architecture roadmaps, alignment progress, and risk evaluations.
  • Build, manage, and develop a skilled enterprise architecture team covering applications, data, infrastructure, and integration disciplines.
  • Curate and maintain knowledge bases incorporating lessons learned, best practices, and emerging technology trends.
  • Monitor daily adherence to policies and procedures, contributing to continuous system and process improvements that consider industry best practices and business environment shifts.
  • Engage actively in coaching, mentoring, and training of team members, promoting accountability and fostering a high-performance culture consistent with SANS values.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Six or more years of relevant experience in enterprise architecture or related disciplines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Preferred certifications include TOGAF, NORA, ITIL 4, cloud architecture, enterprise architecture modeling, SOA/integration, and COBIT to ensure governance and compliance within enterprise systems.
