Digital Artist - Production Resource

Role Overview

The Digital Artist plays a crucial role in crafting superior 2D and 3D graphics along with visual effects tailored for drama and variety shows. Working closely with producers and directors, this role transforms creative ideas into captivating visual content for broadcast, while collaborating with editors and colourists to maintain smooth post-production operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Interpret creative briefs to develop storyboards and appropriate visual treatments.
• Create and animate high-quality motion and broadcast graphics packages, including opening titles, lower thirds, transitions, and infographics.
• Provide visual effects support such as screen replacements, object removal, environment enhancements, compositing, and occasionally supervise on-set VFX to aid post-production.
• Work effectively with directors, producers, editors, and other creative team members to adhere to production timelines.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Animation, Visual Effects, Graphic Design, or related fields.
• Between 3 to 5 years of professional experience in motion graphics, broadcast graphics, or visual effects.
• A solid portfolio showcasing skills in 2D/3D motion graphics, compositing, or visual effects.
• Prior experience in broadcast environments, production houses, post-production facilities, or creative agencies is beneficial.
• Good understanding of production and post-production workflows.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Knowledgeable in 3D software like Blender.
• Skilled at converting creative concepts and references into polished visual pieces.
• A refined aesthetic sense with attention to composition, typography, color, lighting, perspective, and storytelling.
• Expertise in motion graphics techniques such as compositing, keying, tracking, rotoscoping, and image enhancement.
• Awareness of emerging generative AI technologies and AI-assisted creative processes is an advantage.
