DevOps Engineer

About The Position

Xcelore is seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer with 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience to join their expanding tech team. The individual will focus on automating and optimizing development workflows and deployment infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and application security.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and sustain continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for seamless automated deployments.
• Oversee and monitor cloud environments across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies to automate infrastructure setup and management.
• Partner with software developers to optimize release workflows and streamline deployment operations.
• Continuously track system health, resolve operational issues, and enhance infrastructure performance.
• Deploy and maintain container solutions and orchestration platforms.
• Maintain compliance and security standards for infrastructure environments.
• Administer source code repositories and manage version control workflows.
• Provide support during production releases and troubleshoot incidents efficiently.

Essential Skills

• Practical Linux/Unix system administration experience.
• Expertise with popular CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in Docker and related container technologies.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration frameworks.
• Hands-on work with cloud service providers including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong command of Git version control systems and workflows.
• Experience with monitoring platforms like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or CloudWatch.
• Basic scripting skills in Bash, Python, or shell scripting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes credentials are advantageous.
• Background knowledge in networking, security principles, and system architecture.
