Artificial Intelligence is currently transforming how software is developed, operated, and utilized. We aim to strategically incorporate AI capabilities into our processes and platforms. To strengthen our team, we are seeking a Platform Engineer specializing in AI and DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, enhance, and automate our cloud-based platforms and applications, particularly leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Design, implement, and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Python scripts alongside Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Analyze, monitor, and continuously improve systems and processes concerning performance, stability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Support compliance with IT security guidelines, including implementing hardening measures.
• Identify and develop opportunities to apply AI technologies within the platform and operations environments through the entire DevOps lifecycle.
• Integrate AI-powered tools into development, operations, and support workflows.
• Lead the design, implementation, and management of technical projects.
• Assist the team in managing 24/7 on-call rotations to ensure business-critical system availability.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
• Initial professional experience in DevOps, including building and managing cloud infrastructures, ideally on Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and proficiency in Python programming.
• Basic understanding of IT security with motivation to practically enforce security requirements within infrastructure and workflows.
• Open-mindedness towards using AI tools daily and a strong interest in realizing their potential.
• Passion for developing and optimizing IT processes, coupled with analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in influencing IT architectures and embracing emerging technologies.
• Self-driven, organized work style, enthusiasm for active team collaboration, and capability to think beyond immediate tasks.
• Excellent communication skills in German (minimum C1 level) and English (at least B2 level).
