Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will architect and develop Base360.ai's core platform that underpins every aspect of short-term rental management. Your tasks include building customer-facing applications, automation engines, AI-driven workflows, integrations, and operational tools that enable property managers to expand efficiently. You will cover the full rental lifecycle: listing distribution, pricing, booking, guest stays, property maintenance, and financial reporting.

• Design and implement scalable systems, services, and APIs for reservations, availability, pricing, payments, guest interactions, and property operations.
• Develop event-driven automation workflows to reduce repetitive tasks such as cleaning schedules, check-in communications, and owner statement generation.
• Leverage large language models and AI agents to automate guest communication, prioritize maintenance requests, assist pricing strategies, and optimize portfolio management.
• Create and maintain API-first architectures connecting internal services, booking platforms, third-party providers, and customer systems.
• Integrate with key platforms including Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, and Google for seamless ecosystem connectivity.
• Deploy and manage cloud-native infrastructure focusing on reliability, scalability, and high performance to support global business growth.
• Address complex challenges such as real-time reservation synchronization, dynamic pricing, smart lock access, multi-channel guest communication, operational forecasting, cleaning and maintenance automation, owner reporting, and AI-driven system monitoring.
• Own project lifecycle from problem analysis through architecture, coding, deployment, and continual enhancement.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance through code reviews and engineering decisions ensuring system robustness.

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience building and maintaining production-quality software systems.
• Proficiency with FastAPI, Python, React, or equivalent frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of APIs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure design.
• Experience creating scalable backends and dependable data models.
• Capability to work autonomously while delivering quality technical decisions.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills paired with a product-oriented approach.
• Interest in AI technologies, automation, and enhancing operational effectiveness.
• Bias towards rapid delivery with iterative learning from real users.
• A balance of speed, maintainability, and system reliability in software development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in short-term rentals, hospitality technology, or property management systems.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms and marketplace business models.
• Exposure to booking channel integrations.
• Familiarity with AI agents and workflow automation techniques.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures, Supabase, and serverless AWS infrastructures.
