Role Overview
We seek a skilled Video Editor who can vividly narrate our product features, founder stories, and brand essence through engaging video content.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform raw footage, product captures, and innovative ideas into captivating launch films, social content, and promotional ads designed to grab and sustain audience attention.
- Craft videos combining storytelling, product demos, and dynamic visual direction for product launches and brand campaigns.
- Generate founder-centric content using interview reels, talking-head clips, and behind-the-scenes footage.
- Produce short-form videos optimized for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn, featuring strong hooks and precise pacing.
- Develop paid ad creatives with diverse openings, tailored messaging, and compelling calls to action.
- Animate product details employing screen recordings, motion graphics, kinetic typography, and straightforward visual explanations.
- Manage all post-production stages including footage selection, cutting, color correction, sound design, music integration, captioning, and final exports.
- Leverage AI creative tools for generating supplemental visuals, voiceovers, and other assets to enhance quality and expedite production.
- Ensure visual consistency across all formats and distribution channels.
- Refine content based on performance metrics like viewer retention, watch time, and conversion rates to inform future editing decisions.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a compelling portfolio showcasing storytelling ability, craft in editing, and keen visual sensibility.
- Proficient in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro, with competencies in motion design via After Effects or similar software.
- Expert in capturing viewer attention within the initial three seconds and maintaining engagement.
- Adept at distilling lengthy footage into concise, engaging narratives.
- Understand the emotional impact of sound elements like music, silence, effects, and pacing.
- Experienced with AI tools including Runway, Kling, Sora, and ElevenLabs as integral to the creative workflow.
- Capable of independent work, adhering to deadlines, and positively receiving direct feedback.
- Maintain a balance between quick turnaround and high-quality, detail-oriented results.
Prior exposure to SaaS product videos, founder narratives, documentary storytelling, or paid social advertising is advantageous.
Why Work with Us?
- Influence and define the visual video identity of an emerging company at an early stage.
- Collaborate closely with the founder on launches, storytelling initiatives, and public brand-building.
- Enjoy creative ownership and witness your projects published across multiple marketing channels.
- Opportunity for growth into broader creative leadership roles and participation in building a video team.
- Competitive remuneration combined with performance-based incentives.
- Work remotely within a driven and entrepreneurial team culture.
Organizational Culture & Expectations
We cherish ownership, transparent communication, high standards, and ongoing refinement. Ideal candidates thrive when taking initiative, experimenting, and consistently elevating their creative skills.
Not the Right Fit If
- You prefer highly prescriptive instructions instead of exercising creative control.
- You seek a predictable, slow-evolving environment with limited change.
- You find direct critique, revisions, or novel testing challenging.
- Your priority is on aesthetics over narrative effectiveness and outcomes.
- You resist adapting to new technologies or revising your creative methods.
- You engage in ego-driven politics rather than fostering collaboration and accountability.
- You lack the drive to excel at your craft.
