Role Overview

We seek a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and manage robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure for blockchain and distributed services. This position entails creating cloud-native platforms, automating infrastructure, boosting system dependability, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality production services spanning multiple cloud providers. Ideal candidates are solution-oriented, possess strong software engineering foundations, and have a passion for automation and platform engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and sustain resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, and Azure platforms.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters operating in live production environments.
• Lead cluster autoscaling and capacity planning through Karpenter and native Kubernetes tools.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) utilizing Terraform.
• Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines for both application and infrastructure deployment.
• Deploy and maintain middleware systems such as Kafka, Redis, and NGINX.
• Automate operational routines using Golang and Python scripting.
• Enhance system observability via monitoring, logging, alerting, and distributed tracing mechanisms.
• Ensure high platform availability, scalability, security, and implement disaster recovery plans.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents with thorough root cause analysis.
• Partner with software engineers to augment deployment workflows and developer platform experience.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in roles such as DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineer.
• Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Hands-on expertise managing production Kubernetes environments.
• Experience using Karpenter for autoscaling and managing node lifecycles in Kubernetes.
• Strong background with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Competent Linux system administration and fundamental networking knowledge.
• Operational experience with middleware technologies including Kafka, Redis, and NGINX.
• Robust programming and scripting skills in Golang and Python.
• Exposure to Git, GitOps workflows, and CI/CD tooling.
• Understanding of observability tools like Prometheus and OpenTelemetry.
• Familiar with containerization technologies: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge and operation of blockchain or Web3 infrastructure platforms.
• Deploying and managing blockchain nodes such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, Cosmos, or other Layer 1/Layer 2 networks.
• Familiarity with blockchain RPC endpoints, validators, indexing services, and distributed consensus mechanisms.
• Experience using application deployment and configuration tools like Argo CD, Helm, Helmfile, or Flux.
• Handling multi-region and multi-cloud deployments.
• Understanding cloud security best practices including IAM, network security, and secrets management.
• Experience with service mesh frameworks such as Istio or Linkerd.
• Working knowledge of message queues, distributed caching, and systems designed for high throughput.
• Skills in performance tuning and capacity planning for distributed systems at scale.

Additional Beneficial Skills

• Experience with cryptocurrency exchange platforms or blockchain infrastructure providers.
• Management of large-scale multi-region, multi-cloud production systems.
• Familiarity with RPC infrastructure, distributed databases, or high-speed networking.
• Knowledge of security and compliance best practices like IAM, WAF, Vault, and KMS.
