Detailer

Position Overview

The Detailer is responsible for upholding exceptional detailing standards on boats, motors, trailers, and ATVs. This role covers new customer deliveries, display units, stock items, and service vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service to ensure an enjoyable and efficient shopping experience for all patrons.
• Perform washing, cleaning, waxing, and vacuuming of boat interiors for scheduled pickups, display models, and servicing.
• Verify that all unit components function correctly and inspect overall product condition to meet customer expectations.
• Confirm that all accessories purchased have been correctly installed as per buyer orders.
• Start and run motors to verify operational status before customer collection.
• Report any necessary repairs to the Service Manager or Service Lead.
• Maintain and update boat delivery scheduling records.
• Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify the Service Manager or Lead when replenishment is needed.
• Conduct grounds maintenance duties as required.
• Keep the workspace tidy and orderly at all times.
• Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures.
• Undertake additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school education or equivalent experience.
• Competency in basic math calculations.
• Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional way with customers and colleagues.
• Physical capability to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
• Capability to stand for prolonged time periods.
• Able to work comfortably in an environment without air conditioning.
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and clients.
