Job description

Overview

Under the supervision of the Back Room Department Manager, the Receiving Outfitter plays a vital role in managing back-end processes such as receiving shipments, overseeing warehouse functions, controlling inventory, replenishing stock, and maintaining housekeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently process purchase orders as they arrive at the facility.
  • Physically count all incoming packages and cross-check quantities against packing slips for accuracy.
  • Stock merchandise by transferring items from the back room to the sales floor.
  • Handle activities such as folding, repackaging, sorting, facing, and re-hanging new Bass Pro/Cabela's Canada products.
  • Replenish all store departments by ensuring merchandise is properly faced and hung.
  • Conduct floor inspections involving cleaning, updating pricing and signage, maintaining inventory checks, verifying minimum and maximum stock levels, stocking shelves fully, and confirming security tags are applied.
  • Assist in merchandise purging activities as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail to maintain work accuracy.
  • Be a team player with a customer-service oriented mindset.
  • Communicate courteously, positively, and professionally with customers and internal contacts.
  • Physically capable of standing for prolonged durations and handling merchandise boxes.
  • Wear steel-toed work boots as required.
  • Possess or be able to acquire a PAL license.
