Job description
Overview
Under the supervision of the Overnight Supervisor, the Overnight Task Team Outfitter plays a key role in supporting store operations by handling non-selling tasks that enable Sales Outfitters to concentrate on delivering exceptional customer service and maximizing sales.
Key Duties
- Perform general restocking duties across multiple departments including Fishing, Hunting, Camping, Marine/Water Sports, Apparel, Footwear, Hunt Clothing, and Gifts.
- Assist inventory control by conducting on-demand counts, scanning empty pegs, ensuring product displays are accurate, and maintaining inventory integrity.
- Carry out both temporary and permanent price updates such as tagging products, updating signage, and verifying inventory adjustments.
- Maintain store appearance through recovery efforts including folding, repackaging, sorting, facing products, and re-hanging items.
- Support visual merchandising by replacing fixtures, refreshing signage and end caps, following merchandising directives, rearranging floors, dressing mannequins, preparing merchandise for advertisements, and executing department resets as needed.
- Aid in planogram implementation and upkeep across all hardlines departments.
- Contribute to OMNI fulfillment activities during high traffic periods.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure positive shopping experiences.
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned by management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience in a retail sales or customer service environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience or familiarity with planograms and visual merchandising techniques.
- Ability to identify inventory shortages and perform restocking.
- Availability to work overnight shifts.
- Demonstrated capability for providing outstanding customer service.
- Good judgment and logical decision-making skills.
- Background in relevant fields or outdoor lifestyle appreciated.
- Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's products is advantageous.
