Overview

Avenue Ecommerce Limited (DMart Ready) is looking for dedicated candidates to fill the position of Picker, encompassing multiple responsibilities in retail and warehouse operations. This role offers a chance to build a career in supermarket and retail management by handling cashiering, restocking, godown duties, and goods receipt processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the cashier and billing counter with responsibilities including cash handling, POS billing, scanning items, and assisting customers during checkout.
• Keep shelves and racks stocked by refilling products to ensure continuous product availability.
• Perform godown or warehouse tasks such as stock arrangement, loading and unloading of goods, proper inventory placement, and managing storage.
• Process Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) by verifying incoming stock against invoices, updating the inventory system, and conducting quality and quantity checks on received goods.
• Maintain accurate stock records, ensure cleanliness, and use correct labeling practices both in the store and the godown areas.
• Work closely with the store manager or supervisor to provide daily reports on stock status and billing.
• Facilitate smooth customer interactions at the billing counter to enhance the shopping experience.

Skills and Qualifications

• Basic arithmetic skills along with proficiency in cash handling are essential.
• Physical ability and fitness to manage stock handling activities including lifting and warehouse operations.
• Effective communication skills, preferably in the local language, to interact with customers and team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a strong sense of punctuality and discipline.
