Team Overview
The IoT Digital Design team is a premier IC design group dedicated to crafting world-class Wireless MCU SoCs. This team handles the full lifecycle of architecture definition, design, verification, emulation, and implementation of Wireless MCU SoCs—complex chips incorporating embedded CPUs, analog and digital peripherals, advanced security, power management, and leading radio technology to support diverse wireless IoT standards. Their innovation focus includes custom RISC-V cores and AI/ML components to deliver superior technology.
Primary Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute comprehensive verification plans for System on Chip (SoC) and IP blocks, including mixed-signal designs.
- Develop and maintain testbenches using SystemVerilog and UVM methodologies.
- Design both directed and constrained-random test scenarios.
- Manage functional coverage goals, assertions, and regression suites.
- Analyze and debug RTL and verification failures across simulation and emulation platforms.
- Collaborate extensively with RTL designers, architecture teams, firmware/software groups, and validation engineers to ensure design quality and functionality.
- Enhance and automate verification methodologies and continuous integration processes.
- Support pre-silicon debug and occasionally assist in post-silicon diagnosis.
- Guide and mentor junior verification engineers while contributing to the overall verification strategy.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Between 5 and 10+ years of experience in verification roles.
- Experience with wireless SoCs and MCU subsystem designs.
- Familiarity with AMBA, AXI, and APB communication protocols.
- Background in embedded systems and low-power IoT silicon design.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog and verification frameworks such as UVM or OVM.
- Hands-on experience in RTL and gate-level simulation and debugging.
- Expertise in functional coverage and assertion-based verification (SVA).
- Programming/scripting skills in Python, Perl, and TCL for automation and testbench enhancement.
- Knowledge of SoC/IP verification, low-power verification techniques, and CDC/RDC verification methodologies.
- Understanding of mixed-signal and analog-mixed-signal (AMS) verification processes.
