Role Overview

The role involves contributing technically within a digital design team focused on developing integrated mixed signal SoCs tailored for low power MCUs and wireless devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design digital circuit blocks in detail.
• Understand and define block requirements, interfaces, and system needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to draft block specifications and requirements.
• Decide the most suitable design approach and partitioning strategies.
• Implement RTL coding compliant with quality standards.
• Integrate digital blocks and IPs into SoC infrastructure.
• Develop SoC infrastructure components such as bus matrix, memory interfaces, clocking, power and reset management.
• Integrate mixed signal and RF IP into designs.
• Perform block level verification using directed, random, and assertion-driven methods to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Verify SoC integration and infrastructure reliability.
• Conduct verification for mixed-signal and RF IP, including co-simulation and modeling.
• Create embedded firmware for SoC integration and validation purposes.
• Document and review requirements, architecture, design, and verification processes.
• Prepare customer-facing reference manuals and datasheet materials.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Solid grounding in engineering fundamentals.
• Proficiency with System-On-Chip or ASIC design methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with microcontroller embedded processors.
• Experience in RTL coding and software/firmware development is advantageous.
• Understanding of low-power implementation techniques.
• Knowledge of Cortex-M based architectures.
• Verification expertise including logic simulation, testbench creation, performance verification; UVM or SoC verification experience preferred.
• Experience with Design for Testability concepts such as scan test, ATPG, MBIST is a plus.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Tcl, Perl.
• Experience with AMBA or other bus communication protocols.
• Understanding of communication peripherals.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field is required.
