Design Manager - BIM & GIS

About the Role

Join a leading global consultancy to serve as a Design Manager specializing in BIM and GIS technologies. This role involves overseeing digital design coordination and managing information across multiple large-scale development projects in the Middle East region. The position focuses on enforcing BIM, GIS, and digital delivery standards while fostering strong collaborative environments among consultants and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise BIM and GIS consultants to ensure effective project delivery.
• Set up BIM execution protocols and digital delivery standards to guide project workflows.
• Perform thorough reviews of BIM models, coordination outcomes, and information management processes to maintain high quality.
• Track and manage model quality, conduct clash detection, and facilitate multidisciplinary project coordination tasks.
• Support the implementation and governance of Common Data Environment (CDE) systems for effective data management.
• Integrate BIM and GIS workflows to enhance project planning and execution.
• Assist with digital reporting, asset data handling, and broader information management strategies.
• Carry out BIM audits to verify consultant adherence to established project standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology, GIS, or a closely related discipline is required.
• At least 15 years of experience specializing in BIM, GIS, or digital delivery within the industry.
• Proven background working on extensive masterplan, mixed-use, or infrastructure development projects.
• In-depth knowledge of BIM standards, information management practices, and digital project delivery methodologies.
