About the Role

Dalata Hotel Group is seeking an accomplished and enthusiastic Deputy General Manager to play an integral role in shaping the culture and operational success of their hotel team in Galway. This leadership position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with the General Manager to steer daily hotel activities while inspiring and mentoring colleagues for outstanding service delivery and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager by providing strategic input and operational leadership across the hotel.
• Directly manage and guide department heads to ensure cohesive team performance.
• Motivate and engage hotel staff consistently to maintain excellent service standards.
• Lead succession planning and professional growth through continuous staff development and learning initiatives.
• Uphold superior levels of customer satisfaction within the property.
• Contribute actively to enhancing the hotel's profitability by managing costs and revenues prudently.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 3 to 4 years in a Deputy, Operations, or Senior Manager capacity in a large hotel environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven expertise in handling KPIs, financial targets, budgeting, and revenue management.
• Successful track record in talent development and fostering employee potential.
• Excellent communication skills apt for participating in strategic discussions and relationship-building at all organizational levels.
