Deputy Director, Cyber Threat Intelligence

Role Overview

The Deputy Director position is responsible for leading and managing the Cyber Threat Intelligence team, focusing on protecting the Telecommunications and Media sectors, while supporting national cybersecurity initiatives aligned with the organization's strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead research and analysis efforts on emerging cybersecurity threats impacting Telecommunications and Media sectors, including assessment of attack strategies, vulnerabilities, and exploits.
• Develop threat detection methodologies such as detection rules and signatures (e.g., Yara, Snort), and provide actionable recommendations for threat detection and prevention.
• Manage the production and timely distribution of regular and ad-hoc threat intelligence reports, advisories, and alerts to relevant stakeholders following established procedures.
• Supervise Security Engineers to ensure that systems and technologies deployed meet operational requirements and comply with IT standards.
• Drive strategic planning to design and maintain Incident/Alert Management systems and Threat Intelligence Platforms, integrating multiple intelligence sources for coordinated dissemination and response across sectors.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a degree or qualification in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related engineering disciplines.
• Have at least 10 years of experience in enterprise cybersecurity, encompassing incident investigations, digital forensics, cyber threat intelligence, and leadership of related teams.
• Experienced in delivering threat briefings to diverse audiences including senior management, operational teams, and customers.
• Proven record in publishing research related to cyber threats, campaigns, or vulnerability exploits.
• Possess strong insights into telecommunications, broadcasting, media equipment/technologies, and enterprise IT environments.
• Hold professional certifications such as GIAC GCFA, GREM, GCFE, GCIH or CREST CCTIM, CRTIA, CPTIA.
• Skilled in deploying and managing Threat Intelligence Platforms.
• Demonstrate excellent analytical abilities and a passion for solving complex challenges.
• Exhibit strong influencing and communication skills to effectively lead and coordinate teams.
