About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Demi Chef De Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team full-time. In this integral kitchen position, you will contribute to preparing, cooking, and presenting food items that delight our guests and encourage return visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent, friendly, and professional guest service while supporting colleagues.
- Prepare all food items for a la carte and buffet menus adhering to hotel recipes and quality standards.
- Participate actively by sharing ideas and feedback during daily shift briefings.
- Ensure all kitchen staff are informed of standards and expectations.
- Maintain close communication with Outlet Chefs regarding guest feedback.
- Conduct daily checks on mise en place to ensure freshness and quality.
- Implement product rotation in all chillers to minimize waste and spoilage.
- Know all menu items, daily specials, and promotions thoroughly.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of work areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Comply with kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Observe all food safety and sanitation regulations during food handling.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking for the duration of shifts.
- Lifting and carrying items up to 30 pounds frequently.
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs or ladders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in the culinary industry.
- Possession of Journeyman's certification or internationally equivalent credentials is mandatory.
- A Culinary diploma or certification is preferred.
- Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Windows applications, is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Reliable, highly responsible, and able to work well under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a dedicated focus on guest satisfaction, maintaining calmness and courtesy at all times.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada; the employer does not provide assistance in securing work permits.

Compensation
The hourly wage ranges from $28.11 to $29.11 CAD gross.
