About the Role
This position is suited for individuals with a high school graduation certificate seeking to enter the culinary support field. No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, heat, and complete basic food items.
- Use both manual and electrical kitchen tools to clean, peel, slice, and trim various foodstuffs.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen environment including surfaces, cupboards, appliance, and equipment.
- Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals.
- Receive, unpack, and organize supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage spaces.
- Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately.
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish the kitchen floors.
- Wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables as needed.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
The job is carried out in a fast-paced setting demanding physical activity compatible with cleaning and food preparation roles.
Employment Terms
- Work shifts available in the morning, day, and evening periods.
- Permanent work term with a commitment of 40 hours per week.
