Role Overview
We are searching for a Delivery Program Manager with an outcomes-driven mindset to spearhead intricate cross-functional initiatives from conception through impact delivery. This role requires partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Business leadership within R&D to convert ambiguous strategic goals into precise action plans, remove obstacles, and ensure the realization of customer and business benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex program initiatives end-to-end, including scope management, identifying dependencies, milestone tracking, risk assessment, and validating value assumptions.
- Translate business and product goals into focused execution strategies that include measurable success metrics.
- Define clear outcomes, establish success criteria, and formulate value hypotheses collaboratively with stakeholders; monitor adoption, impact, and actualized benefits post-release, addressing any gaps proactively.
- Coordinate efforts across Product and Engineering teams, manage interdependencies, and facilitate planning and retrospective sessions at the program level.
- Bring clarity to ambiguous situations and momentum to areas experiencing friction.
- Implement governance structures and reporting mechanisms; identify and communicate risks promptly with actionable alternatives.
- Deliver concise, outcome-centric updates to senior leadership.
- Identify systemic improvement opportunities in delivery and value realization, contribute to the advancement of APMO standards, and incorporate AI tools into ongoing coordination and reporting.
Success Metrics
- Delivery of programs aligned with predetermined business outcomes.
- Measurement of business value realization such as adoption rates, impact, and ROI after release.
- Achievement of strong cross-functional collaboration among Product, Engineering, and Business teams.
- Proactive identification and resolution of risks and dependencies.
- Enhancement and maturity contribution to the APMO framework and operational methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary programs through to completion, including post-delivery performance tracking.
- Proven expertise in scalable delivery models with the ability to tailor frameworks appropriately.
- Established collaborative relationships with Product Management and Engineering leaders.
- Deep understanding of the link between product delivery, customer value, and business results.
- Ability and willingness to challenge the perception of "done" until outcomes are achieved, fostering productive stakeholder engagement and balance in delivery.
- Proficient in agile and hybrid delivery approaches, with excellent structured and influence-based communication skills.
Desired Personal Attributes
- Outcome-focused prioritization emphasizing impact rather than just activity.
- Adaptive to ambiguity, skilled at creating structure proactively.
- Strong collaborator with the confidence to push back constructively when delivery deviates from intended value.
- Bias towards action, experimentation, and continual improvement.
Additional Advantages
- Experience within SaaS or enterprise software sectors.
- Familiarity with value tracking or outcome-based frameworks.
- Demonstrated history of innovating and evolving existing processes and standards.
