Job description
Overview
As a Delivery Driver at GSF Car Parts, you will be an essential member of the team responsible for delivering automotive parts to customers, providing excellent customer service, and representing our brand positively. Operating on a zero hour/casual basis, you will help cover absences and holidays to support the branch efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver car parts within a 40-mile radius of the branch location.
- Maintain consistently high standards of customer service during deliveries.
- Provide feedback to the branch on customer interactions and competitor activities.
- Load vehicles according to set procedures and guidelines.
- Handle collection of product returns from customers as required.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on your delivery vehicle.
- Assist with warehouse duties when necessary.
- Support inter-branch transfer deliveries as requested.
Working Hours
Average of up to 41 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with alternate Saturdays worked depending on branch cover needs.
Candidate Profile
- Holder of a full UK driving license with no more than six penalty points.
- At least three years of driving experience.
- Strong familiarity with the delivery area within a 40-mile radius of the branch.
- Prior experience in a delivery driver role.
- Understanding of and commitment to delivering excellent customer service standards.
- Ability to meet deadlines and exhibit punctuality.
- Customer-oriented, motivated to achieve targets, and willing to make extra efforts when needed.
