Role Overview
This full-time, on-site delivery driver position is based in Red Deer, Alberta, with additional operations in Kelowna BC, Lloydminster AB, and Edmonton AB. The core responsibilities involve safely loading, transporting, and delivering parcels to commercial and residential destinations along designated routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to daily delivery schedules, utilizing route optimization tools and tracking systems.
- Verify delivery details and secure proof of delivery through photo or signature.
- Maintain precise delivery records and promptly address any issues related to deliveries or vehicle operation.
- Provide courteous service to customers at each delivery stop while handling packages with care.
- Follow all safety regulations and ensure the delivery vehicle is kept clean and organized.
- Coordinate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams to support efficient delivery operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong customer service skills demonstrating professionalism, effective communication, and a focus on positive delivery experiences.
- Experience with forklift operation and basic material handling preferred, or willingness to undergo training.
- Training experience or eagerness to learn and comply with standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Skills in sales or customer interaction helpful for fostering relationships with business clients.
- Background in food & beverage or other service industries highlighting reliability, time management, and adaptability to fast-paced work environments.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean record and familiarity with local routes in Red Deer and neighboring areas.
- Physical ability to safely lift and carry packages, stand for long periods, and work outdoors under varying weather conditions.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with mobile applications or handheld devices for route navigation and delivery confirmation.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; prior experience in delivery or courier services is an advantage.
