Deli Bakery Team Associate

Position Overview

The Deli Bakery Team Associate delivers outstanding customer service by upholding Walmart's core values and principles. This role involves maintaining and organizing the Bakery and/or Deli departments, supporting stocking activities, and facilitating product sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize the department by zoning product shelves, tables, and display areas to ensure correct product placement.
• Conduct stock rotation and monitor products for expiry.
• Ensure accurate pricing and proper signage of merchandise.
• Follow protocols for cold chain compliance, including thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, proper food handling, product rotation, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Take and prepare Deli product orders, including hot food items, providing customer assistance as needed.
• Prepare deli items using utensils, operate rotisserie ovens for chicken preparation, and replenish side dishes in display areas.
• Prepare bakery products by carefully following thawing and baking procedures to maintain quality and visual standards of bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Adhere to procedures for ordering, clearance, price adjustments, labeling, and signage.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.05.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum age: 16 years or older.
