Position Overview

We are seeking a Data Scientist to become a key member of our Database Marketing team focusing on gaming marketing campaigns.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and enhance predictive models tailored for gaming marketing efforts.
• Prepare datasets for analysis through cleaning, transformation, feature engineering, and validation of data sources.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation detailing model inputs, business rules, and underlying assumptions.
• Support campaign operations by generating analytical variables, flags, customer segments, and attributes based on models.
• Conduct specific analyses to aid marketing decisions.
• Create and sustain dashboards and routine reports to monitor model and campaign effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the Campaign Manager to ensure accurate usage of model outcomes in targeting and list generation.
• Work alongside Loyalty Marketing and other departments to understand and address their data analytics needs.
• Assist in experimental initiatives such as A/B tests and offer calibrations through proper setup and data preparation.
• Detect anomalies, missing entries, or unanticipated trends through systematic checks.
• Ensure analytical processes are well-organized, repeatable, and thoroughly documented.
• Present and summarize analytical findings in a clear manner for audiences without a technical background.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Possesses over 2 years of professional experience in data science and analytics; experience in gaming is advantageous but not compulsory.
• Demonstrates strong proficiency in Python and SQL for handling and analyzing data.
• Experienced with machine learning modeling techniques; knowledge of Databricks is considered an asset.
• Has a solid grasp of fundamental statistical methods including regression, segmentation, clustering, sampling, and model validation.
• Experienced in managing large datasets and performing routine analytical functions.
• Exhibits meticulous attention to detail with a sharp quality assurance mindset.
• Capable of effectively communicating analytical results to non-technical stakeholders.
• Highly organized, dependable, and open to undertaking operational and repeatable responsibilities to gain insight into gaming analytics.
