Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Privacy Project Coordinator to facilitate and oversee initiatives related to data privacy, protection, and governance. This role demands effective collaboration with diverse teams including business units, technology, legal, compliance, and vendors. The coordinator will be responsible for monitoring project progress, managing privacy risks and remediation efforts, delivering executive reports, and ensuring documentation and completion of committee decisions and directives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage coordination of projects focusing on data privacy, protection, governance, and compliance.
  • Create and update project plans, schedules, trackers for deliverables, risk logs, and action plans.
  • Facilitate collaboration among business, technology, legal, compliance, cybersecurity teams, vendors, and consultants.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients and stakeholders, providing transparent progress reports.
  • Track milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and pending actions in projects.
  • Oversee vendor activities, ensuring timely delivery, gap identification, compliance adherence, and corrective measures.
  • Support privacy functions such as data mapping, classification, Records of Processing Activities (ROPA), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), consent management, and privacy evaluations.
  • Monitor incidents related to privacy breaches, non-compliant data processes, vendor shortcomings, and remediation strategies.
  • Prepare executive-level dashboards summarizing ROPA status, DSAR statistics and SLA compliance, DPIA progression, Data Processing Agreement (DPA) resolutions, consent management, and incident reporting.
  • Deliver privacy and data governance briefings to senior executives and governance or steering committees.
  • Escalate unresolved privacy risks and compliance breaches with specific recommendations and mitigation options.
  • Compile committee documentation including meeting packs, minutes, decision records, and action item trackers.
  • Ensure follow-through and closure of committee decisions and assigned tasks with a comprehensive audit trail.
  • Assist with regulator reports, submissions, document preparation, and compliance evidence gathering.
  • Maintain accurate and accessible privacy records and support documentation for audit or review purposes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Management, Law, Compliance, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of 7 years overall professional experience.
  • At least 3 years spent in technical, IT, data, privacy, compliance, or related environments.
  • Proven experience managing projects related to data privacy, protection, data governance, or compliance.
  • Strong client-facing or client success skills.
  • Demonstrated capability in coordinating cross-functional teams spanning business, technical, legal, compliance, and external vendors.
  • Expertise in vendor management and third-party partnerships.
  • Experience delivering reports and presentations to executive leadership and governance bodies.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law preferred.
  • Understanding of NDMO data governance requirements or similar frameworks is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with GDPR regulations is beneficial.
  • Exposure to data mapping, classification, ROPA, DPIAs, DSARs, and privacy/compliance processes is desired.
  • Excellent skills in project tracking, documentation, reporting, coordination, and issue resolution.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate legal, compliance, and technical subjects clearly to senior-level stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in both Arabic and English for professional communication and presentations.
