Role Overview
As a Data Operations Manager, you will spearhead the management and enhancement of data and AI platforms across the enterprise, ensuring they are reliable, secure, and high performing. This leadership role encompasses operational excellence and strategic oversight of platform development as Genesis pushes forward with data modernization and AI integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the operation and ongoing advancement of enterprise data and AI platforms within the Databricks ecosystem.
- Advocate for system reliability, uptime, and performance across Databricks, Power BI, DataOps, and MLOps implementations.
- Establish and execute platform strategies and roadmaps that facilitate modernization, scalability, and future capabilities.
- Oversee service governance, incident response, and escalation processes adhering to ITIL principles.
- Lead and nurture technically proficient teams, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous growth.
- Collaborate with Databricks, Microsoft, and strategic partners to deliver exceptional service outcomes.
- Develop trusted relationships with senior leadership to translate business requirements into operational priorities and investments.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in Data and AI Operations, Data and AI Platforms, Data Engineering support, or related areas.
- Expertise in Azure data technologies, especially Databricks and Power BI.
- Skilled in formulating and executing platform roadmaps and operational strategies.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ITIL service management, incident resolution, and operational governance.
- Demonstrated success in leading and growing technical teams.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience managing vendors and high-level partnerships.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and influence across various organizational levels.
