Data Modeller

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeller for a full-time, permanent position located onsite in Mississauga, Ontario. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in data modeling techniques and a comprehensive understanding of capital markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data models utilizing various structures such as snowflake, star, and hybrid schemas, including dimension and fact tables.
• Analyze capital markets business processes and transactions, including trade lifecycles, along with understanding roles of participants such as brokers, custodians, and investors.
• Expertly profile data sets using SQL queries and spreadsheet tools to support data-driven decision-making.
• Conduct thorough data quality assessments to maintain high standards of data integrity.
• Collaborate closely with diverse stakeholders, including users, managers, and developers, to ensure alignment and accuracy of data models.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 7 to 10 years' experience specializing in data modeling.
• Proficient knowledge of data modeling types and table classifications.
• Strong command of SQL for complex data profiling and query development.
• Deep familiarity with capital markets, encompassing asset classes such as equities and foreign exchange and associated risk factors.
