About the Role
A respected organization in Singapore seeks a Data Manager specialized in Governance and Administration to join their team. This role will involve the establishment and enforcement of enterprise-wide frameworks for data governance, including policy formulation and standards compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive data governance policies and standards across the enterprise.
- Lead initiatives related to data stewardship, ownership, metadata management, and cataloging.
- Ensure compliance with data security protocols, privacy regulations, and legal standards such as PDPA and GDPR.
- Facilitate secure and efficient sharing and reuse of data across multiple departments.
- Oversee the lifecycle management of data products and governed data assets.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years experience focused on data governance practices.
- Demonstrable experience in executing data governance or master data management projects.
- Advanced knowledge in data cataloguing, metadata management, data quality assurance, and data modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases, NoSQL technologies, and contemporary data architectures.
- Understanding of data integration methods, ETL/ELT design, data lineage, and data security frameworks.
- Strong analytical thinking, documentation capability, and problem-solving skills with a capacity to work autonomously.
