Data and Insights Analyst

Role Overview

The Data and Insights Analyst is tasked with examining and interpreting organizational data to generate dependable insights that facilitate informed decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and align activities with strategic goals.

Key Duties

• Gather and document data from various administrative departments to recognize patterns, assess performance, and offer actionable recommendations for ongoing improvements.
• Develop and sustain dashboards, scorecards, and regular reports to aid management decisions and enable transparency throughout administrative sectors.
• Verify data accuracy, consistency, and trustworthiness across administrative areas to enhance the quality of decisions.
• Deliver clear and concise presentations of insights suitable for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Partner with departments to evaluate strategies, policies, and workflows, providing data-driven guidance to align operations with organizational aims and boost efficiency.
• Assist with yearly planning, resource distribution, and forecasting by supplying precise analyses and scenario evaluations.
• Review workflows and administrative procedures periodically to identify bottlenecks and suggest enhancements.
• Analyze audit outcomes, risk signals, and compliance documentation to detect any gaps and propose corrective measures.
• Participate in budget reviews, cost management, and tracking expenditures to ensure they meet organizational objectives.
• Lead initiatives involving benchmarking, KPIs, and root cause analyses to improve division-wide effectiveness.
• Support SOP development and standardization, ensuring thorough documentation of data, reports, and processes.
• Coordinate with various division units to align data, exchange insights, and collaborate on major projects, creating multiple narrative dashboards for performance visualization.
• Transform complex data sets into strategic insights for leadership prioritization and decision-making.
• Enhance data literacy by training colleagues on dashboard and report utilization within the division.
• Monitor data use and collect stakeholder feedback to continually improve analytical tools, maintaining dashboard and report relevance and usability.
• Ensure data integrity and availability within data management systems by enforcing governance, metadata standards, and archival policies for long-term file preservation.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications and Competencies

• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, or a related domain.
• Between two and five years of professional experience in data analysis, business analysis, or performance reporting, ideally within large organizations.
• Proven expertise in gathering, cleansing, and interpreting complex datasets, identifying trends, and deriving actionable insights.
• Competency in analytical and reporting tools such as Excel and Power BI, along with knowledge of statistics, forecasting, and performance measurement techniques.
• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments and engage stakeholders in collaborative efforts.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills to interface with stakeholders and convey analytical findings; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
