Job Overview
The Data Analyst II role at HungerStation involves leveraging data to enhance the product development lifecycle by deriving actionable insights that optimize product and business performance. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams including Product, Technology, Marketing, Commercial, Logistics/Operations, and Growth to enable data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and product-related data to identify growth factors and areas for enhancement.
- Create analytic reports, detailed analyses, and interactive dashboards supporting various business stakeholders.
- Apply quantitative methods to extract insights that assist Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers in prioritizing development efforts.
- Handle both structured and semi-structured data collected from multiple databases including BigQuery, Redshift, and PostgreSQL.
- Utilize SQL (specifically with BigQuery) along with Python or R to extract, process, and analyze sizeable datasets.
- Design and interpret A/B testing by formulating hypotheses, configuring experiments, and statistically analyzing outcomes.
- Manage data projects comprehensively from data gathering to operational deployment.
- Develop and sustain dashboards and reports using visualization tools like Looker Cloud, Tableau, Google Data Studio, or other similar platforms.
- Drive continuous enhancements in data analytics processes and methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Possess 2 to 4 years of pertinent experience in Data Analytics or a closely related discipline.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
- Exhibit solid proficiency in SQL, particularly with BigQuery.
- Demonstrate experience with programming languages such as Python or R.
- Have foundational understanding of statistics and practical exposure to statistical analysis techniques applied to data.
- Experienced in working with large volumes of data originating from diverse sources.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Skilled in creating dashboards and reports using platforms like Looker Cloud, Tableau, or Google Data Studio.
- Capable of translating complex data into understandable and actionable insights for product and business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams including Product, Technology, Marketing, Commercial, Logistics/Operations, and Growth.
