Senior Python Backend Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Backend Engineer to architect and lead the development of core backend services for a high-scale, data-heavy platform. This role is fully remote, with preference given to candidates based in Lucknow or Nagpur, India.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable backend and computational services.
• Create reusable, configuration-driven systems.
• Craft advanced SQL queries and develop efficient data models.
• Ensure backend systems are accurate, dependable, auditable, and reproducible.
• Work within multi-tenant, multi-cloud, and customer-hosted environments.
• Lead architectural decisions, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate closely with teams in Data, AI, and Product domains.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 8 years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, FastAPI framework, and Bash scripting.
• Strong skills in SQL and data modeling techniques.
• Expertise in system design, scalability challenges, and performance optimization.
• Experience implementing configuration-driven and rules-based architectures.
• Commitment to quality assurance, testing practices, and ensuring system reliability.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Knowledge of Snowflake platform and PostgreSQL database.
• Familiarity with dbt, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform technologies.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts and Finance/Accounting domain experience.
