Primary Duties

• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and zoning of the Dairy/Frozen area to ensure consistent customer readiness.
• Conduct regular stock rotation and carefully monitor product expiry dates to uphold freshness and quality expectations.
• Accurately price, sign, and label merchandise, adhering to Walmart’s procedures for ordering, markdowns, and clearances.
• Follow cold chain protocols and food safety standards, performing temperature checks, calibrating thermometers, handling food correctly, and ensuring proper sanitation.
• Maintain merchandising displays and promotional features to support departmental standards.
• Ensure the work area remains tidy, safe, and hazard-free by removing debris and spills and complying with company and health safety guidelines.
• Remain flexible with work shifts, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.

Work Challenges

• Handle a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing overnight hours and workload to maintain energy and focus.
• Perform physical activities such as extended standing periods, bending, and lifting items up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Execute repetitive tasks like stocking, zoning, and organizing with consistent attention to detail and quality.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.90 CAD.
