Job description
Job Overview
This position is focused on generating underwriting profit and fostering growth within the Cyber and Technology Practice segment. The role requires managing an assigned Broker panel to achieve financial goals through effective underwriting and business development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet financial objectives for the designated Broker panel.
- Execute targeted distribution efforts including broker visits, managing key accounts, identifying pipeline prospects, cross-selling, and securing new business opportunities.
- Utilize delegated underwriting authority responsibly by conducting thorough risk assessments and making informed decisions.
- Allocate capacity appropriately for new and renewal business, including modifying existing coverage endorsements as necessary.
- Follow product guidelines and support growth, diversification strategies, or corrective actions as required.
- Create and implement a personal distribution plan tailored for the assigned Broker panel.
- Work closely with the Cyber & Technology Practice Leader and Product Line Managers to align efforts.
- Participate in joint travel and presentations to strengthen client relationships.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience underwriting Technology Professional Indemnity, Casualty, and Cyber insurance within an intermediated market.
- Strong understanding of pricing methodologies and claims progression relevant to these classes.
- Capability to manage a diverse portfolio including mid-market volume business and large, complex accounts.
- Ability to customize coverages based on client needs and deep product knowledge.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in product offerings and market dynamics in a growing sector.
- Excellent customer service aptitude anticipating and responding effectively to producer requirements.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and influence decisions.
