Customer Delivery Driver - Wrexham Extra

Role Overview

As the visible representative of Tesco during deliveries, our Customer Delivery Drivers visit customers' homes daily, offering more than just driving services. The position involves physical, hands-on work with a variety of tasks, requiring independence throughout the day while also having the support of a management team and colleagues at base.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and organization of your van, trays, and work area to guarantee customers receive their shopping in excellent condition.
• Load the delivery van safely and perform all necessary checks to confirm the vehicle is roadworthy and reliable for service delivery.
• Communicate courteously with customers about any order modifications, substitutions, or approaching expiry dates, processing refunds when necessary to ensure a smooth, positive experience.
• Handle all products attentively, treating every order with care to uphold quality and foster customer trust.
• Deliver orders within the allocated customer time slots, presenting a warm and genuine service at the doorstep and ensuring customers feel valued and cared for.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrate the ability to build strong team relationships to foster excellent teamwork and offer top-tier service to customers.
• Exhibit a friendly, welcoming attitude towards customers and team members alike.
• Adapt swiftly to evolving customer needs and changes encountered while on the road or at the store.
• Possess a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) held for at least 12 months, with no more than three penalty points.
