Position Overview
The Custodian plays a vital role in upholding NIBCO's vision and values by ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the site through various assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and wax designated areas including breakrooms, restrooms, office spaces, lobby, and conference rooms; operate a floor buffer as needed.
- Empty trash receptacles throughout assigned areas.
- Maintain restroom supplies by restocking paper towels, toilet paper, and soap regularly.
- Clean and sanitize restroom fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and urinals.
- Clean breakroom appliances and furniture, including vending machines, microwaves, ice machines, tables, and refrigerators.
- Dust furniture in the lobby and office spaces.
- Clean entrance doors and the glass on doors.
- Remove trash and litter from outside the building and parking lot.
- Monitor and order cleaning supplies when necessary.
- Keep the work supply room organized and orderly.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or GED is required. Previous custodial work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
