Crewperson

Job Overview

The Crewperson functions independently with the capacity to supervise others as necessary. This role requires advanced expertise in the coating process and reports directly to the assigned Lead and Supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities

• Apply, clean, or remove thread compound as required.
• Handle removal, cleaning, and application of thread protectors.
• Operate support equipment when needed.
• Assist in training and supporting newly onboarded crew members.
• Perform additional relevant tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Adhere strictly to all NOV company and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Ensure workstations and surrounding areas remain clean and organized.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by supervisory staff.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is preferred.
• Experience within a manufacturing or industrial yard setting.
• Familiarity with use of hand and power tools.
• Commitment to following HSE, quality control (QC), and company safety protocols.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long durations.
• Effective communication and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Basic reading and writing skills suitable for documentation purposes.
• Holding a valid forklift or material handling certification is advantageous.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a dedicated work ethic.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including overtime when required.
