Creative Development Executive - Scripted UK Series

Role Overview

Amazon MGM Studios is hiring an energetic and self-driven Creative Development Executive to join the UK Series team. This role encompasses supporting the entire process of original scripted productions, from initial sourcing through to release. Candidates with a background in scripted development and production, either as a producer or commissioner, and a solid grasp of the television industry are ideal. Strong creative judgement for selecting and nurturing projects, excellent interpersonal communication, and well-established industry contacts are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Critically assess scripts and provide insightful creative feedback.
• Maintain updated information on writers and directors.
• Identify and evaluate pilot submissions, scripts, and pitches.
• Collaborate with senior executives and writers to shape stories and scripts.
• Offer creative support throughout all phases of development, production, and post-production.
• Act as the primary liaison between the UK Series team and departments such as Casting, Production, Marketing, Press, Research, Business, and Legal Affairs.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in content creation or copy editing, including digital publishing.
• Familiarity with cross-departmental collaboration, particularly with casting, production, research, public relations, business, and legal teams.
• Background working as a producer, creative executive, or similar.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the television and media industries.
• Several years' experience in scripted series development and/or production.

• Fluent English proficiency in both written and spoken forms.

• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and possibly international setting.
